About the service

Conference Interpreting

At AaGlobal, as well as providing simultaneous interpreters, we can provide audio and visual equipment, such as delegates’ headsets, microphones, lecterns, interpreting booths, lighting, staging, even flower arrangements and executive transport for your delegates to and from the venue. This way, our clients can have total peace of mind and concentrate on their work rather than worrying about numerous arrangements they would have otherwise had to make. We can also do all of this remotely, so you can make sure your conference is interpreted to all of your delegates, wherever the interpreters may be.

Webinars

Real-time interpretation for your webinar. We do all of the arranging for you so when your webinar starts and your delegates from all over the world attend, all they need to do is select the audio channel in their language, and hey presto, a perfect real-time interpretation of exactly what’s being said. With our service, we provide full instructions to all of our clients on how to use each of the unique features, allowing different controls to different interpreters as well as to delegates enabling them to change volumes depending on who they want to hear!

Palantyping

A Speech To Text Reporter is also known as a Palantypist. A Palantypist can be booked face to face or remote.

For face to face appointments, the reporter will type every word as it is said. The typed words then appear on a screen to be read at the same time. It is a bit like having subtitles for an event. This occurs at a high speed for long periods (normally over 2 hours). This service is mostly commonly used in conferences and meetings as well as sometimes in court to help people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

For remote appointments, our system allows the client to be connected via our Chat function to the Palantypist. The Palantypist is present remotely through the system and begins to type all captions which will then appear to the client in a separate window, or may be viewed on a separate device.

This service is not only used in the same capacity as the face to face arrangements above, but also can be a way for a person who is deaf or hard of hearing to have direct control over the captions they will be viewing. They can enlarge or minimise the screen, change the colours and size of the text to suit their requirements best and they are in control of the captions they see and how long for.

Electronic or Manual Note Taking

Electronic notetaking is an efficient and quick way to enable equal access to those who need it, and is tailored to each client’s needs; whether it be remote, live, or emailed to the client at the end of the booking.

Manual Notetaking, like electronic, allows the client to have a record of the information presented during a lecture, meeting or appointment in a summarised handwritten format, rather than a transcript. These are available face to face or remote (video or telephone).
