AaGlobal awarded position on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Language Services Framework
We are delighted to have been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s Language Services framework for the next 3 years.
Making communication universal is so important to us and accessibility is key to achieving this. Many of our BSL interpreters have extensive experience of working in sensitive or complex situations and are fully equipped to deal with these circumstances. They understand the importance of their work and dedicate time for the service users allowing our client’s to build relationships.
BSL interpreters are able to be booked as a face-to-face service or online through our own portal.
Sign Language videos are a brilliant way of adding accessibility to your videos; we can either add to your existing video, or we can create a Sign Language video solely based on your content from scratch for you. For this we use a deaf-centred production team that has responsibility for ensuring compliance with the necessary requirements, so you don’t need to worry about this.
Our Interpreting Coordinators will work closely with the interpreter, the client and the production team to ensure that validation and linguistic adaptation of the material is completed.
Include everyone in your theatre performance, poetry event or concert and provide a live BSL interpreter specifically for your show. Our specifically trained BSL interpreters for live events have all worked in the performing sector so they know exactly how to add to your show.
The BSL interpreter could also help create a video for the show that could be shared on social media; signing brief information about the play including a synopsis, the date of the show, ticket prices and how to get to the venue for example!
All of our Sign Language interpreters are fluent in sign language and have native knowledge of the local sign language, are recognised by the deaf community as role models and can show references in the areas of education, leadership and knowledge of sign language. Fluency in written language with training and experience in either general linguistics, language teaching, translation or interpretation is also required to ensure the interpretations provided are completely accurate. We also require them to have knowledge of the deaf culture and the deaf community so we can be sure that the best possible translation is given.
