Customer Account Manager

We’re looking for a commercially minded and relationship-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Account Manager. If you enjoy working closely with clients, understanding their needs, and identifying opportunities to support their services while driving growth, we’d love to hear from you.

Location: Hybrid
Salary: £31,500 – £42,000 + target-driven bonus (OTE £41,500 - £52,000)
Contract: Full time, permanent

About the role

This is a target-driven commercial role where you will be accountable for delivering growth across your portfolio of client accounts.

As Customer Account Manager, you’ll own post-award client relationships, lead commercial conversations, and identify opportunities to expand contract value through additional services and scope growth, where these align with client needs and contractual frameworks. You’ll work closely with internal delivery teams to ensure opportunities are realistic, compliant, and successfully implemented.

Bonus is based on incremental revenue growth within existing client accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for allocated public sector clients
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Lead commercial account planning and long-term growth strategy
  • Identify, qualify, and progress upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Build and maintain account-level growth pipelines and forecasts
  • Lead commercial discussions around service expansion and contract development
  • Work with internal teams to ensure growth opportunities are deliverable and compliant
  • Track and report on account growth, pipeline, and revenue performance against targets
  • Provide regular commercial updates to senior stakeholders
  • Support clients through service expansion and change, including coordinating onboarding, implementation, system demonstrations, and client enablement sessions

What we’re looking for

Essential
  • Proven experience managing and growing existing client accounts
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working to revenue or growth targets
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts
  • Comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations
  • Proactive, commercially driven, solution-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven, performance-based role
  • Motivated by earning potential linked to performance
Desirable
  • Experience in public sector environments
  • Knowledge of frameworks and governance processes
  • Background in interpreting, translation, or regulated services
