Translations Project Coordinator


Salary: Negotiable from National Minimum Wage

AA Global provides translations, interpretation and localisation services to businesses, the Public Sector and private individuals all over the UK. As we continue to grow, the more digitally focused our organisation becomes to drive innovation and flexibility of our services to meet our clients’ demands.

We are currently looking to recruit a Translations Project Coordinator.

Project Coordinating involves dealing with a variety of translation services including translations, audio, transcriptions and more. You will be dealing with Translation projects from start to finish which means the success of each project is in your hands. You need to show common sense, have a “can-do” attitude, enjoy a busy environment and be adept at multi-tasking. Also, good computer literacy is key and you should be eager to strengthen and develop your personal and technical skills. One of the most important attributes you can bring to this role is to stay calm when times are busy. The translation industry is very deadline-driven and often things happen simultaneously, which is exactly what makes it so fast-paced and exciting.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Planning, scheduling and monitoring translation projects
  • Sourcing and coordination of translators and other language professionals including negotiation
  • Proofreading and QA-checking of translations
  • Effective communication with clients, linguists and colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction including answering incoming calls from clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Understand and abide by individual project instructions
  • Data entry
  • Work effectively in a team driven environment
  • Dealing with emails from clients and translators to maintain good relationships

Required skills/attributes

  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • The ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines in a team environment
  • Customer service and/or project coordination experience
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office as well as the ability to learn new software
  • Excellent computer literacy

It would be a bonus, but not a must, if you have one or more of the following criteria

  • University Degree/A Levels
  • Knowledge of another language
  • Previous experience within the Translation industry

This is a full-time position with days and hours subject to business requirements
